Have a structure you want you to burn? Literally!

New construction is going on all the time in the Bay Leaf Fire District. As a result, many older homes, barns, old sheds, etc. are being demolished. What better way than to allow your Fire Department to burn the structure for training! We are always open to the propsects of using your structure as a training ground. For instance:

- Bay Leaf Firefighters can obtain invaluable experience utilizing real fire scenarios, under the direction of Live Burn Instructors.

- Ideally, we would use the structure many times (days or weeks) before we actually burn it for the purposes of general firefighter training that includes forcible entry, ventilation, rescue, vehicular operations, water shuttles, etc. (This training is almost impossible to emulate at any fire training center.)

- Our newer (probabtionary) firefighters would have the opportunity to obtain real-time experience.

There are many rules we follow to ensure our training scenarios are conducted safely and appropriately. There is no liability on the part of the property owner, and we obtain all necessary live burn permits at no cost to you. You would have to sign an agreement that allows us to conduct this training on your property, and you obviously could not file an insurance claim! For all of the details please contact:
